Angels Link Foundation celebrated its 77th event with 50 young girls from Balikashram, a shelter for girls located at Navin Asha, Dadar. Balikashram is home to 50 destitute girls aged 5–12 years. Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, Balikashram works towards helping the girls lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Parents are the most important factor in a child’s environment, taking care of their needs. The girls at the ashram are not so fortunate and the volunteers at the shelter strive to provide this to them. This is where they all live like a big family. On turning 12-years old, they are transferred to other ashrams.
