Angels Link Foundation’s 70th event was organized to celebrate International Women’s Day. We took 30 adivasi women from a village in Maharashtra called Dolkumbh for Mumbai Darshan. We got in touch with Father Trevor, who runs an NGO called REAP (Reach Education Action Program), who in turn helped us to get in touch with the tribal women.
ALF had organized a private bus to take them around Mumbai city. We started with a boat ride at the Gateway of India. Then we took them to Nariman Point and showed them the ‘queen’s necklace’. From there we took them to Chowpatty. It was their dream to see the sea. They enjoyed dipping their feet into the waters and listening to the sound of the waves.
